It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to add anything here, I’ve been pretty busy with school stuff. But fret not, I have not forgotten Mixer Gaming! I figure it’s easy enough to give you guys another video preview, so here ya go. This is just some Wildstar (which recently went free to play) gaming footage. I apologize for the poor quality and my quiet mic, but hopefully you get some enjoyment out of this!

Let’s all get on the hype train for the release of the opening cinematic for Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void! Legacy of the Void will be the second — and probably final — expansion for SCII, with the main focus being on the tech-heavy Protoss. The Protoss have been a fan-favorite for awhile, as […]

So I just read about something that is being given out with retail purchases of Super Mario Maker, and that’s the Super Mario Maker Idea Book. Wait, hold on. Super Mario Maker? Yeah, it’s exactly as it sounds. Coming out this Friday (Sept. 11), is Super Mario Maker for the Wii U. Going in the […]

With today’s introduction of Rexxar, another classic character has joined the Nexus. Rexxar has long been a figure in the Warcraft universe, first making his appearance in Warcraft III, but also making appearances in both World of Warcraft and in Hearthstone. The half-orge, half-orc Beastmaster will, along with his longtime bear companion Misha, will combine […]

There aren’t too many things in the world that go together better than heavy metal and horror. Heavy metal artists have always incorporated elements of horror in their musical style. Demons, devils, undead, blood, fear, darkness. . . the list goes on. Bands like Iron Maiden and Iced Earth use horrific figures as their mascots. From its earliest conception, Black Sabbath embraced darkness in all aspects of its style, and set a precedent for future heavy metal artists. Some bands go to the very extreme, with Slayer, for instance, using the pentagram — often associated with Satan or the occult — as a symbol.
That’s what makes this trailer so cool. Here we have a total marriage of heavy metal and horror (in a comedic setting) in Deathgasm. Even the name screams over-the-top metal and horror, and it looks exactly as advertised. This is the first I’ve heard of this film, but damn I’m already pumped about it.

If you’ve read my review on Baldur’s Gate I, and are at all familiar with Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn, you should have a pretty good indication of how this review is going to unravel. If you haven’t done either of those things, then be prepared for a pump-up session, because this game was […]

The newest expansion for Hearthstone, The Grand Tournament (TGT), was recently released, so let’s see what it has in store. One of the biggest additions to this expansion that is pleasing to me is the ability to gain cards from any set as a reward for Arena runs. Previously, only cards from the latest expansion at the […]

While Blizzard announced it’s new team shooter Overwatch quite awhile ago, I just opted in for the Beta today, so I figure we can discuss it. Overwatch is slated to be a new foray for Blizzard, as they attempt to break into the FPS market. For years Blizzard has been known for its real time […]

This trailer came out a little while ago — during E3 to be exact — but this is the first time I’ve seen it, so let’s take a look here. To anyone who has played video games for a long time, Doom is a fairly familiar name. I know it was one of the first […]

To me, the horror genre is about so much more than just thrills and scares. It is about the chilling atmospheres, the often fantastical elements, and the interesting characters. It is about the dark themes and challenging plot points, and the varied ways that they can often be interpreted. It is for these reasons that […]
